The National Institute for Astrophysics (Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica, or INAF) is the principal Italian research institute in astronomy and astrophysics, founded in 1999. INAF operates many separate research facilities in the country and its research covers most areas of astronomy, ranging from planetary science to cosmology, including education and outreach. INAF is the host institution of the OAE Italy Center and collaborates to AstroEDU providing support for the international and italian edition, and contributing educational resources.
